Wisteria is a new residential development in Alabaster. Located conveniently off South HWY 119, Wisteria is just a few minutes from HWY 31 or I-65.

Upon entering the neighborhood, we were greeted by a nice, tree-lined entrance that meandered towards the crest of a small hill where we encountered the first homes in the development. I was immediately impressed by the magnificence of the homes. As a REALTOR®, I see plenty of brick homes, and quite honestly, some just tend to look a lot alike, but not these.

These homes in Wisteria were built with additional touches that add accent and character. For example, on one of the first homes we encountered, a short brick wall was built out from the home to provide a barrier between the street and garage doors. To me, these little finishing touches just add value to the home and buyers will certainly take notice.

Another particularly nice feature of Wisteria is the quaint size of the neighborhood. Often times, we encounter neighborhoods that tend to sprawl, continually being divided into new sections which risks diminishing the sense of community many residents find important. Yet in Wisteria, my wife and I both noticed that the neighborhood was small enough for everyone to recognize each other but large enough to not be right next to each other.

Unfortunately when we toured this neighborhood, we were unable to enter any of the homes. Therefore we won't be able to comment on the interior or workmanship of the home, but if the inside is as nice as the outside, I would be worth investigating if you are shopping for a home in this price range.

To get to Wisteria: Follow I-65 South. Take Exit 238 (Alabaster Exit). Turn right onto HWY 31. Go west approximately .5 miles. Turn left onto HWY 119. Take HWY 119 south past the Publix Supermarket. Take a left on Fulton Springs Road, light immediately after Publix. Wisteria subdivision will be on your right had side.
