Letson Farms

Letson Farms has been a popular subdivision in McCalla, Alabama ever since it's inception. I recall when the development first started, Letson Farms seemed like it was out in the middle of no-where. However, now with all the new shopping and restaurants that have opened in the area, Letson Farms seems as if it is in the perfect location!

Letson Farms features a variety of home styles and sizes. Personally, I enjoy the homes in the Club View section. These homes are reminiscent of the Americana Style which remind me of years past when lemonade stands and window-flower boxes were prevalent. To me, these homes just emanate the sense of community. Although many of the homes share the same floor plans, the spacing and shuffling of the styles makes the neighborhood not seem like a cookie cutter environment.

One thing that I really like about the Club View section in Letson Farms is the homes that have a detached garage in the rear of the house. This detached garage also features a bonus room upstairs that can be used as an office, fitness room, man-cave, or even, dare I say it... in-law suite. All joking aside though, that added feature makes these homes very attractive to me.

Letson Farms is conveniently located off I-459, a few exits west of the Galleria Mall, in McCalla, AL. When I first moved to the Birmingham area, this part of town was considered a little bit “out there”. Boy how things have changed!!! McCalla has experienced a tremendous amount of growth and now boasts great new shopping plazas with stores like Publix and Target!

If you’re looking for a community that is family-oriented, Letson Farms is just right for you! The Letson Farms community is a throw-back to the good ol’ days where people knew their neighbors and kids played outside. Every time I have gone to Letson Farms I have noticed people outside talking to their neighbors and children running in yards or riding bikes.

You can get out and get active at Letson Farms! The community has a pool for swimming, tennis courts, a walking trail and beautiful lakes. It also has sidewalks for taking leisurely strolls through the neighborhood, if you prefer to take it easy

Directions to Letson Farms

Letson Farms is located in McCalla, Alabama off I-459 at Exit 1. To get to Letson Farms, take I-459 to exit 1. At exit 1, go west towards Tannehill State Park. As you pass the shopping plaza on the left, Letson Farms is the first left turn after McDonalds. Turn into Letson Farms. As you drive up the hill you will pass the different sections of the development.
